Prices for prefabricated houses - which manufacturer?

I come from the same area (ES)! We are currently building a prefabricated house with the company Fertighaus Weiss GmbH, the installation date was mid-June, we are currently plastering... : - (
So far it’s going well!

Why a prefabricated house and not a solid one is quite simple: one contact person for all trades and not 20 different ones! Furthermore, I can hardly imagine that building solid is cheaper, especially since the initial price will never be the final price anyway.
What I have heard from my circle of acquaintances about building solid has scared me so much that since then it has been clear to me that I want a prefabricated house. Another advantage is the faster completion, wood as a building material (better insulation) and the industrial drying in the factory, instead of on the construction site. ...

So now I have become aware of Kern Massivhaus turnkey and have only read good things so far... now I am wavering whether we should perhaps build solid after all... I will definitely get offers to be able to compare.

Because of your last post, I would now like to know which horror stories about solid house construction were passed on to you by acquaintances.

All solid building companies (with subcontractors as craftsmen) build for you, thus are the only contact person for you (but to be honest: I preferred the craftsman on site – it was the shorter way than through the site manager).
I also tried to google the Focus test once, but only came to the report page... it says there that prefabricated houses are unfortunately more expensive now and so on... and extras are costly with both types of construction.

Here are a few points as they appear to me:
- In builder surveys by the newspapers ProFertighaus and Hausbau, Fingerhaus, Schwörerhaus and Keitel-Haus are among the front runners. Also, in private research (construction diaries, conversations with many builders) I have heard much good about these companies, as well as about Weberhaus.
- Schwörerhaus plasters in the factory, not on the construction site, i.e. gaps remain between the floors
- Large providers like Fingerhaus or Schwörerhaus offer low prices if you choose houses from the catalog, i.e. free floor plans, free knee wall height, but exterior dimensions, roof pitch and stair position as given. If the house has to be built exactly to fit a small building plot and the roof pitch should follow certain specifications or wishes (ridge height, eaves height, roof pitch), the companies are less interested in these orders and demand higher prices
- With the not so large company Keitel-Haus it is different; they build every house individually anyway.
- You can probably only compare prices when you have defined exactly what you want and have the companies of your choice make you an offer.

In addition, we created an Excel file in which we tried to map the differences in the construction service description - it was a huge task, but it wasn't really 100% conclusive either.

We then had an offer made by our top 3 and compared them very precisely.

So now I have become aware of Kern Massivhaus Schlüsselfertig and have only read good things so far... now I am starting to doubt whether we should perhaps build solid instead... I will definitely get some offers to be able to compare.

I am also from your region and spent (too) much time with prefab house providers, including Weiss, Fingerhaus, Schwörerhaus, Bien-Zenker... Ultimately, I ended up with a regional solid house general contractor and am very satisfied so far. We are building just under your budget 175m² of living space including basement with some extras. None of the above-mentioned prefab house providers could offer us that. Just take a look around the numerous new housing developments and talk to the builders.
