The thread is a bit older (just before the application deadline, right? ), but since I know where xycrazy originally wanted to build, I’ll add my two cents: We decided on a prefabricated house, we also compared all the ones mentioned (Schwörerhaus, Bien-Zenker, Weberhaus, two more and two solid construction providers). We had all our ideas put into an offer by each so they would be somewhat comparable, recalculated, compared construction service descriptions, requested additional costs, and so on and so forth.
In the end, almost the same price came out for all, whether solid or prefab. But we decided based on gut feeling, the wall structure, and the standard open wooden beam ceiling for a small prefab provider from the Karlsruhe area. With just a little more living space, however, we ended up well over this budget all-in, including landscaping, kitchen, and special requests... this building area has some pitfalls, so the budget should rather be considered without land.
So far we are very satisfied, the basement will be built tomorrow.
On the topic of "only one contact person": It doesn’t matter whether prefab or solid; it depends on the provider. Whoever builds a prefab house with a basement, except for Schwörerhaus, will also have contact with a basement construction company, as they all work in this area either with Glatthaar or Kemmler. And the other trades after the shell construction are also done by "local" craftsmen.
