Hello everyone,
we are currently planning a house with a developer, in the special request catalog there is, among other things, the preparation for a video intercom system for €215 with the following description:
Supply and installation of preparation for retrofitting an intercom system with video function by the purchaser as own work. This includes video-capable wiring for a video intercom system, inside and outside, up to the distribution box in the basement.
I am wondering if that is not very expensive. Basically, it is just an empty conduit with cable a) from the front door to the distribution box in the basement and b) from the distribution box in the basement to the intercom system on the ground floor. Should I just order two empty conduits (= 2x €65) and pull the cable myself?
Second question: is it even common that the technology of the intercom system is located in the basement? Isn’t it integrated in the intercom system itself when I buy one?
Thanks & regards
Matthias
