Hello everyone, a question about ventilation systems/heat pumps: we had an emergency last night, our little one had a croup attack, we were at the parents', i.e. a conventional solid house with radiators. It is advisable in this situation to ensure fresh air in the bedroom, so we threw open the windows and aired out with cold air. Now my question: assuming I would do this in a house with controlled residential ventilation, would the whole house get cold because cold air is now being fed to the heat pump from the bedroom instead of warm air? Or would the system be smart enough to selectively stop drawing air from the bedroom/not try to heat it? Are there heat pump systems that can also regulate room humidity (I have read that heat pumps generally produce rather dry air). Thanks in advance miet-er

Room humidity can only be regulated by the [Kontrollierte-Wohnraumlüftung]. The heat pump is the heating system, so it usually heats water in the heating circuit.

And honestly, in the event of a Krupp attack, I wouldn't really care if I cool the house down for a moment.

1. Are sleeping rooms usually supply air rooms
2. Is air a poor heat carrier so that the house does not really cool down
3. Is all exhaust air mixed and by the time it reaches the exhaust valve, the air is warmer again

There is controlled residential ventilation with humidity control

on the go

Of course, it wouldn't matter for the moment, I rather suspect that the dry indoor climate previously favored the seizure... and I asked myself to what extent the expected dry air in a new building is easier/more difficult to regulate.

The problem in new buildings is initially the humid air. It can only become dry with Controlled residential ventilation without moisture recovery.

New construction means in this trap kfw55/40 or similar with strong/dense insulation compared to the building standards from 20-40 years ago. When the screed is dry, then the air, according to what one reads, will be relatively dry with 30% relative humidity.
