Hello, maybe you should consider whether a custom-built house is an option for a construction sum of €300,000. Then you don't have to make compromises and can plan everything exactly the way you want... we are building with an architect and a bit bigger, but the price is not (significantly) higher. I would not choose a prefabricated house, at least not because of the resale value....

Would you explain that in more detail?

Thank you for the contributions, I would also be interested in the resale value of FHs. If you don’t get enough for it, you can have the FH relocated to a new base plate when moving. Of course, this option is not available for MH.

The property we have in sight will cost about 110,000, with additional construction costs and the house, you quickly reach 500,000 tutti completti.

In practice, I consider this absolutely unrealistic and uneconomical.

Relocated? Well, the prefabricated houses I’ve seen aren’t just dismantled and put "somewhere else." The houses don’t come complete on the foundation either, but rather individual prefabricated elements are assembled together. I think you’re confusing that with "mobile homes," as they exist in the USA in some cases.

Depends, if you move from Görlitz to Munich it might make sense. I asked a FH planner about it, apparently it has been done internally at companies several times... of course, it is not an official business model.
