Hello dear community,
we need to decide how our outdoor stairs (which lead to the main entrance) should be constructed. Since we have a floor buildup of 16cm inside, we automatically have this value as a step outside. Now we don’t know what or how we should plan. Whether the entrance to the interior should be flush or at the same level as inside. Or the stairs at the same height as the landing and directly in front of the entrance door another small step to then get even into the door. According to our stonemason, the stair covering is 6cm (3 plate and 3 mortar).
How would you cover the terrace or the balcony? Here too, we would have to compensate the 16cm. With WPC that should not be a problem with the substructure. If we decide on terrace slabs here, I probably cannot put 10-12 cm of gravel on the concrete slab. That would definitely be too much weight.
I hope it is somewhat understandable what I mean. My wife would like to be able to walk evenly into the house at the front door and around the terrace/balcony. I am not sure if that is feasible or even makes sense since the terrace is south-facing and goes around the corner to the west side on the left. (Rain etc)
