That works technically completely different than you imagine. The smartphone is just a remote control for the boxes. The [Läden] then download it independently from the network. Whether they are connected via LAN or WLAN doesn't matter at all.

Cross the word HiFi out of your thoughts for the bathroom, then 11ant won't react so allergically :-)

We also have ‚Brüllwürfel‘ in the bathroom and kitchen, and especially in the bathroom I (man) don't want to miss that. However, we almost only use the radio function in the bathroom. Having only one speaker there, which for example is addressed via BT, would annoy us. You would always have to have the smartphone with you and also constantly re-establish the connection.

It's different in the kitchen, where you usually stay longer anyway.

Think differently. Hi-fi in the living room. Good music in the kitchen and, if necessary, the bathroom. A Tivoli radio stands in our kitchen and fills the room with selected fine sound, in mono. Enough. The black piano lacquer case pleases the eye. And since I placed it on the refrigerator, it’s not in the way. The bathroom remains quiet, only Handel’s Water Music comes from the tap. Living room genuine stereo system Yamaha, Onkyo, Canton. Thick pure copper cables. Where does the music come from? Radio. CD. Ei Phone. Pad. But almost always CD.

Ok, HiFi is hereby officially removed from this thread and is only meant to clarify the thematic content or to touch on it.

@ 77.willo - yes and no, a native solution on the device would of course be optimal, but to achieve this optimum (for my purposes) I started this thread. ;)

@ jansens, the Gira series with flush-mounted radio and BT receiver can do both, only question is whether it has enough power for 2x 3-way speakers?

@ Nordlys, a classic BT radio is certainly not a bad idea, but if I still have the possibility to integrate it into the house (in this case ceiling), I see this as the first option.

But what you want to do is screaming out for a Sonos solution. What is the advantage of ceiling speakers? Is there even one?

Ultimately, Sonos is practically made to serve as a streaming client for Spotify. And the whole thing, I’m going to stick my neck out here, is better than cafeteria speakers from the ceiling.
