To each their own. Since 2011 we have had the Sonos S5 ZonePlayer throughout the whole house with Bridge & Co., which in my personal opinion is the absolute worst crap and we will ceremoniously burn it in the garden when moving out. The controller can feel like it’s updated four times a month, the playlists disappear every time, and if different iPads, iMacs, and iPhones access it alternately, there is another total crash and everything is lost. I have been in regular contact with Sonos support since 2011 and personally I would not buy it anymore.

I cannot confirm that. We access the Sonos system via two phones and two iPads and I cannot recall any crashes. I have no problem with updates; after all, they bring improvements. The menu navigation is simple, the playlists are clear, and the music playback is stable. I bought my Sonos components in 2015. Maybe the older ones are also more prone to malfunctions. My opinion about Sonos is definitely very positive and even my wife, who is not a tech fan, is enthusiastic.

We have been using the Busch-Jaeger UP-Radio in the bathroom for a year now, integrated into the switch program SI. Since we only listen to the radio anyway (no MP3s or internet stations), this solution is absolutely sufficient for us and I look forward to the great built-in radio every morning. What I especially like is that the annoying cabling finally has an end and it looks nicely tidy. Of course, you can also install a device with more bells and whistles for more money, but you don't spend hours in the bathroom and you probably don't want to have parties there either.

Hello,

the last entry is indeed a few days old, but I don't think that matters...

We have installed a Berker Touch UP radio each in the bathroom and the kitchen.

For the bathroom and the kitchen, the sound (despite the small speaker) is absolutely sufficient.

We also appreciate the fact that nothing is left standing around and collecting dust and no additional cable clutter is created.

Regards,

Dirk

We have arranged this in the relevant rooms with switchable sockets. Switch right by the door. Socket hidden behind drywall walls, where some radio will later be placed.

Hello,

Is it enough to connect one Visaton ceiling speaker or better two?
