I'll chime in briefly because I am supposed to get two meters soon, and my solar technician said that is total nonsense. I myself haven't found a provider yet with whom two meters would be worthwhile! Can someone give me an example? (I have calculated with 3000kWh household electricity and 3000kWh heating electricity)

It varies regionally.

3000kWh for a heat pump costs me €621 from the cheapest provider, this provider waives switching bonuses, whether they will still be available at these prices next year is questionable. The next cheapest charges €720, switching bonus deducted. In the household electricity tariff, I pay between €0.26 and €0.28 depending on the provider. So €780-840. For me, this would already be worthwhile at 3000kWh, even without an annual switch. I don't know if the second meter would additionally cost us anything.

However, we consume significantly less. My heat pump does not like external shutdowns and I use photovoltaics.

So if I now present my regional comparison: 3000kWh/3000kWh - €1153 (1 meter) / €1211 (2 meters) 3000kWh/4000kWh - €1347 (1 meter) / €1418 (2 meters) So no idea how that is supposed to add up... maybe if you had to consume 8000kWh with the heat pump?

You also seem to have calculated the household electricity in the heat pump tariff, once with one meter and once with a double meter for HT/NT, but both in one contract for heat pumps.

With a separate meter for the heat pump, you have two contracts, not one: 1. a normal electricity contract without heat pump, as it is now. Additionally, a tariff for the heat pump (with single or double meter). The contracts can be from different providers.

Also ok, I thought I had two meters HT for household and NT for heat pump!

So the comparison would be better like this:
House 3000 - 714€
Heat pump 3000 - 633€
Total: 1347€

6000 - 1405€

So you would actually save a bit! Thanks a lot for the info!
Does double meter rent actually apply then? How expensive is it?

depends on the grid operator. from X inrush current onwards, a separate meter is required for the heat pump. In the end, it's about the switch-off capability of the whole thing to avoid peaks.
