Hello everyone,
we are planning a photovoltaic system with storage for our new single-family house. As far as I understand, I should register a small business beforehand, where I can declare the VAT/sales tax. I then have to report the earnings from the photovoltaic system to the tax office monthly, but I can reclaim the VAT on the acquisition costs and depreciate the entire system over 20 years.
We are getting the battery from Sonnen and signing a contract with Sonnen. Thus, the surplus will be delivered to Sonnen and remunerated. This should play a role, but I mention it for the sake of completeness.
Is that correct? Is there anything else I need to consider when registering the business, apart from being able to declare VAT?
Thanks
