Good day,
a year ago we had a bound gravel surface (grain size 0-5mm) installed as a driveway. Beneath it is a frost protection layer (gravel/Proctor). Everything was compacted several times with a vibrating plate. I have attached several photos of this.
Unfortunately, we are not completely satisfied because small stone particles keep coming loose/the shoes get dirty when wet. For this reason, I wanted to ask whether it is theoretically possible to lay paving stones on this compacted surface. The frost protection and gravel layers are already there, right? It should work if you set curbstones in concrete on the left and right and then fill the paving stones in the middle with joint sand, correct?
I am grateful for any helpful answers :)
