Why? Presumably you want to use healthy building materials. It doesn't matter whether it is an "additive" or not. The remark about "there is chemistry in it" is completely undifferentiated. We also have chemistry in our intestines.

Concrete is not mixed separately.

Just ask for the [Datenblatt]. Something is added to the concrete.

Why do you have concerns about the concrete?

Thank you for all the constructive comments. Yes, we want to build in a healthy way to live and, to be honest, I am surprised that this is met with so much ridicule here. I also know what chemistry is; there is no need to explain that here. I have read recommendations on the topic of healthy living, which advise against additives in concrete. So far, I have unfortunately not been able to find out which additives specifically these are. Terms such as accelerators, retarders, and plasticizers were mentioned. I was also told that this cannot be said in advance because it apparently depends on the temperatures what is added.

You do have a general contractor or architect who understands healthy living construction, they should take care of it.

It's true that different substances are added at different temperatures.

Are you going to have your house certified?

WU concrete is necessary. I wouldn't experiment with that. Besides, the concrete will be covered. It's not like wallpaper or furniture.

The wording of your question was an easy target for comments.

WU should be harmless. Our general contractor didn't have any issues and I don't eat from the concrete.

Not ridicule, but amazement. Concrete is brewed according to the German purity law from cement, gravel, and water – raspberry flavor is not provided for, so your question can only cause astonishment without further explanation. Of course – not in the sense of organic, but in the sense of inevitable – concrete should harden in time, that is, not before the formwork, but after pouring without delay. It is no magic that this works at different temperatures. What you are looking for should be found in beton.Wiki under keywords such as "Betonzusatzstoffe" or "Betonzusatzmittel." Basically, concrete is an inedible, hard bread – i.e., ingredients make a dough, the dough hardens in the mold, and the less scrupulous baker adds more magic stuff than the organic baker. Your question is therefore quite legitimate, but without clarifying the background it was not understandable either. So don't be angry, just remember next time that we can’t look inside your head.

Then you are aware that concrete is a gravel mixture with at least the additive cement and that a) the production of cement severely damages the environment (CO2 emissions that you cannot even imagine) - and b) cement is a hazardous substance - it is also labeled as a hazardous material.
