So concretely it says:

Your house was internally covered with a gypsum plaster and gypsum plasterboard panels ready for wallpapering. ... However, they are not suitable for paint or wallpaper application without further treatment. ... For painting, walls and ceilings are coated with a primer.
... The use of textured plasters is to be avoided for at least the first year after the completion of the house. By applying a top plaster you prevent the drying out of the wall and inevitably lead to mold growth, mostly in the area of the skirting board. ...

sry, but I’m unfortunately not really familiar with this yet! So we didn’t want to apply woodchip wallpaper but instead treat all the walls with roller plaster.

All right, that makes sense. The standard plaster is there, but it is advised against applying a textured plaster on top because it is made of plastic and the standard plaster cannot dry. The same applies to paint and non-woven wallpaper. I would first take a look at the plaster to see if it is smooth enough, filling it in is no problem, and then paint with a vapor-permeable paint, e.g. silicate paint.

Just to make sure I understood correctly, after priming it should be enough to either just paint or possibly sand a bit and then paint, right? Thanks a thousand already.

Let the plaster dry, if necessary, measure moisture, if necessary, re-spackle if uneven, let dry, apply primer, apply silicate (expensive!) or silicone resin paint.

Sorry, I forgot. Silicate paint does not work on gypsum plaster and should also be applied by a professional.

Hi,

thank you very much for the many replies!

: we built with herrmann-massivholzhaus. Not a log house, but solid wooden walls made of laminated timber.

I tend to agree with what One00 wrote – we will paint directly on drywall (of course with primer). KEIM Grundierweiß, then KEIM BioSIL – according to the painter and the technical datasheet, this is fine. If there really should be a crack somewhere in one or two years, as mentioned, it is disproportionate to the effort of covering the entire house with painter's fleece...

Since the house currently has 'finished' walls, bare screed, and no door frames/installation, I think it is easiest to tape off the windows and go wild with the airless machine. The covering effort is manageable.

Thank you very much!
