Purchase recommendation for silicate paint?

Yes, we apply two coats, you don’t save that much with a primer as far as I know, besides, I can do it all in one go. Everyone as they prefer

We have also used Keim Biosil. I can only recommend it. It is also available online at good prices.

Alligator Kieselit-Bio-Mineral

We had that too. Great color with a price that also fits. However, the color fades quite quickly.

So I ordered the paint and found out that this paint is not a real silicate paint. I have to paint the ceiling as well, and it was painted with regular dispersion paint back then. Real silicate paint wouldn’t adhere that easily there. But there is no silicification happening on the walls either. Now I’m conflicted again. Is silicification necessary? What exactly is it for? Is my plaster more susceptible with the alligator paint? Many greetings Olli
