Paint is peeling!.....Front panels in light yellow

Hello everyone!

Maybe someone can help us! On our 4.5-year-old Stat light yellow fronts, the coating or paint is peeling off or cracking at the edges.
We were at our IKEA store today and they told us that earlier fronts only have a 4-5 year warranty depending on the type. Is that true? We thought it was 10 years. Does anyone have a similar problem or can help us further?
Anyway, they will send someone over at some point to take a look at the whole thing.

The purchase date is 20.06 2005 and we still have the original receipt (delivery note and invoice). However, we do not have any documents regarding the length of the warranty and nothing can be found on the internet. And Ikea says 4-5 years.

Between 4 and 5 years is a strange statement for me .. if then it’s 5 years. Except for the energy-saving bulbs, where IKEA promises 3 years warranty, I can't think of any other item where such a strange number like 4 is used ..

Hello! Well then, I thank you all first for the answers and will wait to see when the Ikea employee gets in touch to arrange an appointment for an on-site inspection. So now, after many inquiries, our experience report! We went to Ikea with our receipt and complained about the fronts. The lady at customer service wanted to make us believe the warranty had expired, but we were still a few days before the end of the 5 years (in 2005 there was still a 5-year warranty, now I believe 10 years). Then they took our data and phone number, and after a few days someone from Ikea contacted us by phone, made an appointment, and then came by. He looked at everything and said that they would cover the costs for new fronts including all side parts and crown and base moldings up to the value of the fronts (purchase price). We chose others and paid the extra cost. Regarding installation and removal, he initially refused but then showed understanding. A company then contacted us, and we made an appointment with them. This worked only on the second attempt – but at least! They then removed the old fronts and installed the new ones (a day's work) including all ancillary work. So, good luck!!

All in all, everything went well after all.

I know other kitchen companies where this either doesn't work at all or only gets done after months.
