Paint garage floor

Where did you buy? The suppliers I contacted directly emphasized that their goods are always fresh (still, they pointed out this issue and the need to stir).

The day after I painted, the paint had settled again. I think this is normal and does not say anything about the filling quality.

I will send you the shop via private message, as I am not sure if links are allowed here. So far, the paint has made a good impression, but a final assessment can probably only be made in the next weeks/months.

The accessories I ordered at the same time were of mixed quality. I found the rollers overpriced for their quality (10,- EUR) and rather poor, as small tufts kept coming off during painting. And the brushes also lost quite a few bristles. That was a bit annoying.

I found the phone consultation from the shop to be among the best. The advice from the local paint dealers/stores was rather poor. Their consultation consisted of printing out the manufacturer’s brochure. That was also the reason why I ordered online. Price-wise, the online paint was in the mid-range compared to local suppliers.

The painting is now complete.

The first two pictures show the first coat of paint after one day of drying. As you can see, the paint splotches remained. Apparently, that was not the method of choice. Maybe they would have disappeared after fully curing. But as mentioned, the ambient temperature was not ideal either. For the last coat, I poured directly from the bucket, painted an area, and then poured again. Since the ambient temperature was not as high as the days before, that apparently was not a problem.

The last two pictures show the second coat after one day of drying. I am quite satisfied with the result. You can still see the tracks/directions of the roller. Maybe that will fade when the paint has fully hardened. But since it is only the garage floor, that would not be so bad.

I am also about to work on my garage. Now the question... how long does the screed need to dry with this coating in the garage? I only have 4m² in a heated room that I want to coat with it.

Would it also be possible to use this coating in the bathroom for the floor and shower walls?
