Hello everyone,
About 3 weeks ago, I bought an Ikea kitchen and, apart from the assembly, had IKEA handle everything (measurement, planning, shopping service, delivery, etc.). During the planning, the IKEA employee told me that the wall finishing strip Numerär Birch for my kitchen was CURRENTLY out of stock but would be reordered. To avoid delaying the delivery, we removed the strip from the planning and I agreed to look for it myself.
So far, I have not been able to find the strip anywhere, and at Ikea Düsseldorf, Kaarst, Essen, Cologne, and even at Ikea in the Netherlands, I was told that the strips are no longer available. The kitchen was sold to me 3 weeks ago, and I find it hard to believe that the Ikea kitchen planners are not informed that the strip for a countertop is being discontinued, which they sold to me at the same time? The real wood countertop in birch is still part of the METOD kitchen system and is still being sold in this context.
Does anyone know if this is a supply shortage or if the strips are actually being discontinued? If yes, will there be a replacement?
Thank you in advance for your answers.
