New construction project, but somewhat limited budget

The outdoor area, garage, etc. will be taken from a different budget or constructed 1-2 years later. Has anyone already had experience with the kit house (e.g. Ytong) and is it realistic that one could do quite a bit themselves to save costs?

The prefab house Hebel/Ytong/Silka is not bad and also noticeably saves money, but on the other hand, one should not overestimate it. The shell construction does not make up such a large financial share of the house as its share of the visible shaping of the house would suggest. If prefab, then in my assessment aerated concrete is already better than shuttering stones. But there are Hebel with more potential than the own effort in masonry.
