Basically, it is always nice to "mark out" harmonious shapes in the soil. Angular shapes do not suit flora. A small maple is suitable as a solitary plant, smaller bushes are better grouped.
Very roughly:
Take a corner, plant a shrub there, a compact flowering bush to the front left, something evergreen to the front right.
