I had no interest in starting such a debate. Furthermore, I have no interest in presenting our project here in all its details. Please understand that I have already been very open about the budget and similar matters. Of course, everyone is free to form their own opinion.

What I generally find unfortunate is that no matter where, it immediately comes down to money. Whether it's complete strangers bringing up the purchase price of the land or other budgets being questioned. There's something good about not talking about money.

well, if you're asking about an ETICS during the construction phase, it's always about budget. If money doesn't matter:

Thick ETICS made of 8-14cm wood fiber insulation boards with corresponding exterior plaster. Provides a lot for summer heat protection (mEA)
I would NEVER slap an ETICS made of "plastic" on it. That would also be pointless regarding summer heat protection.

How exactly the interfaces then have to be designed is tricky. Questions will inevitably arise or you rely on yourself and your craftsmen - mEA not a good idea. Building expert a better idea.

My house has an ETICS made of wood fiber insulation boards, I did a lot myself and also partly took over construction management (together with my brother, who is a civil engineer). I COULD give out info ... if I wanted to ;-)

But a forum, especially this one, can also be difficult. I can understand your concerns. But just picking up a few unrelated pieces of info won't work here or lead to success. There are simply few clairvoyants around here.

if money is no object, I would treat myself to a VHF with an architecturally interesting look...

Please keep in mind: - Compared to the current thermal protection certificate (you are currently building at least KfW 70 standard, which is legally required), what standard results from additional insulation? What energy savings are possible? - Costs (for the building envelope, an additional cost of around €50,000 is easily possible) - Adjustment of detailed planning (how are roller shutters/exterior blinds installed in the insulation, external basement insulation, roof overhangs or roof construction, etc.) - Discussion with the architect, as a new building permit will be required and/or possibly setback distances will no longer be observed - Adjustment of the heating technology to a changed heating load Nothing else comes to mind spontaneously.
