Hello,

I see it the same way. You tell the general contractor where the path goes and you should insist on that.

I would also have the load-bearing interior walls made with adhesive bricks. For the non-load-bearing ones (mostly 11.5 cm thick), you can use others. They are anyway only built after pouring the ceiling or after stripping the formwork.

Extra tip for hanging pictures.
Use steel nails or else use wall plugs.

Thanks for the tip, I have also heard about the steel nails. Well, somehow you’ll manage to get the picture hooks into the wall. For us, the soundproofing of the interior walls (hopefully with 3 kids) was very important, and that’s why we also decided against aerated concrete.
I find using anchor plugs for just a few pictures somewhat excessive, but for smaller pictures the nail should only need to grip the plaster anyway, so that should be sufficient...

That is correct. I also specified a lot, including improved roof insulation, since originally the simple scope of services only mentioned something about insulation between rafters. But especially with the topic of masonry, I also have to consider what is recommended to me in combination with insulation and building services. Whether I then want that or not is my decision. For example, I was strongly advised against the filled bricks (which I originally fancied). His recommendation was precisely the Liapor Super K Plus with more than 30cm stone plus 14cm ETICS, which results in an acceptable wall value and allows no thermal bridges, despite all the disadvantages or criticism points of an ETICS.

Surely I set the direction, which is why I deal with it, but if the whole thing then gets €5,000 more expensive just because I want planar blocks, that doesn’t help me either!

There are also different options for ETICS. The higher the thermal insulation proportion of the "load-bearing" construction, the more vapor-permeable the additional insulation must be! Then you also won’t have any problems with ETICS.

Hello Behaim, :)

we are also considering building with the filled bricks. Can you tell me the exact reason why you were advised against these bricks?

Thanks and regards
