New construction - Is insulation worthwhile? Experiences?

Functional disadvantages for the builder are one thing, on the other hand, there are apparently optimized costs (for both sides).
The aerated concrete used is probably cheaper than a comparable sand-lime brick, and due to its (slight) insulating effect, a few centimeters of insulation thickness can be saved in the insulation layer. One obtains a solidly built house with a rather thin wall structure, which on paper leads to more living space with the same cubic volume.

Yes sure, the advantages lie at most with the builder. However, our Town & Country representative was absolutely not convinced by it. "This position is so that you don't have any rubbish on the wall." The surcharge was also relatively reasonable, so I would guess that although this wall construction is standard on paper, it is often not built.
