New construction + exhaust heat pump according to the builder, is a trench collector affordable?

Whatever is often conveniently omitted: regarding the frequencies involved – humans perceive low frequencies as significantly more unpleasant than higher ones.

And I know of a rather expensive Vaillant system that is noisy. Why is it noisy? Quite simply: poorly planned, poorly adjusted, and placed at a location that was good at the start of construction. Afterwards, a garage was built next to it, creating a sort of "backyard" that nicely reflects the sound.

I wouldn’t say, as a blanket statement, that this only affects cheap systems. While that is certainly a considerable factor – and applies quite often, since many want something cheap.

Hi,

The question is: what do you want?

Simply the cheapest heating without stress and you don't care about any KFW 55 standard: then gas heating could be right for you. It also depends on whether the building application was submitted last year or this year. The regulations for the calculation of energy factors have changed, which on paper worsens gas boilers and improves heat pumps.

If you want to give yourself the green fig leaf and money is no object: then geothermal heat pump.

The consumption costs for your house with a gas boiler will be around 50 € per month. Whether another technology consumes 20% more or less doesn't matter; we're talking about plus or minus 10 € per month.

Best regards,

Andreas

I am also considering which heating option I should choose... We have to decide now. I have 200 square meters of living space plus 50 square meters of hallway plus 100 square meters of heated basement. So a total of 350 square meters. For me, it was clear from the beginning that it would be an air-to-water heat pump, but the more you read, the more uncertain you become. The disadvantage of the air-to-water heat pump is simply that on cold days or in winter, it can consume an endless amount of electricity. At the moment, I am increasingly leaning towards gas. Possibly with solar thermal energy. What would you advise? Currently, there are 2 adults and 2 children. Another child might join.

After deducting the subsidies, I am roughly in the same price range with gas/solar and flat collectors + heat pump. What ends up on paper afterwards is pretty much irrelevant to me.

No problem

My own self always says that I wouldn’t hear a firework right next to my bed. That’s true if it fits into "my" stored pattern. But if my granddaughter makes a quiet, unusual noise, I’m up straight in bed.

In that respect, I wouldn’t hear the fan after 2 days at the latest

Hello,

near us there is a new housing development and many building families have installed an air-to-water heat pump. The humming/rushing noise of the systems would definitely bother me. When walking through the streets, you can hear the devices everywhere. If you stand right in front of one, it sounds as if there were a highway nearby. I simply do not find such systems sensible in areas where the plots are hardly larger than 400 m². This means there is no way not to disturb the neighbors with the noise. I find such a constant rushing noise even worse than occasional passing vehicles.

Best regards
Sabine
