To be objective again: why shouldn't you build 350 sqm if you can afford it and want to. is building how much? I think also 350 sqm for 2 people. I think that's cool, but then the project also has to fit and there has to be a wow effect. When I see Rick’s project my jaw drops and that’s how it should be with such a building... Here it only causes shaking of the head.

Doable. We are also around that (hence my nickname :P). It depends on the amount of self-help, the contacts and the building area. If you want to know details about it I can go into a bit more detail.

But Rick is not calculating with €500k. And if you want to build 350 sqm, a special house costs a bit more. If the OP could afford it, he wouldn't calculate with €500k. I prefer quality and would rather build 200 sqm nicely

But you don't have 4 bathrooms. When I look at the room size of the dining/living area and the length of the staircase, an acoustic ceiling or something similar should be installed in the living area. That drives the price up, no matter how much personal effort. Rick has an overall concept. From the garage to the [Gründach] your mouth drops open and it fills you with amazement. Here you need Voltaren for your neck.

No question, Rick builds very high-quality and with many technical refinements. But the OP does not want that either. We also built "nicely" and are still under 1500/sqm.

But sure. 4 bathrooms cost money, but we don’t know what contacts the OP has. If he can access most things through equity and has a plumber and tiler in the family/friend circle who sometimes comes by on weekends, bathroom costs stay within limits. The decisive factor is: Whom do I know and what prices do I get.

Maybe the 500k are enough... maybe not. I don't care at all, I also don't know any backgrounds to be able to assess that.

or Aspirin because the forehead keeps hitting the table

One should also keep in mind the follow-up costs that arise from such a large living area. Heating, property tax, sewage fees, and insurance come to mind.

I didn’t believe the 350m² at first and I had to recalculate: With 14.6 m * 11.6 m (without walls), you actually get 169m² per floor... plus the two wings of the building.
