New bathrooms - save costs

.....have you ever tried negotiating? I mean everything from a single source, many are willing to negotiate on that.

I find the hourly rate justified and am willing to pay it well. The product prices just deviate too much for me....

Is the product and the installation of the product listed separately in your offer? What is stopping you from obtaining further quotes from other plumbing companies?

A little side note: Also take a look at the shipping costs, especially with R they make up the price again. And craftsmen really don’t like doing that, I have one in the family who could tell stories about it..

Thank you for the hint. However, shipping is free from 2000€... the hourly rates for installation would still be interesting. I will first negotiate with our current provider.

There is also a quite large provider that starts with "R" and ends with "ter"... they offer installation, for example. Anyone have experience with that? Or is it also advisable to avoid it? Thanks

Do you actually read the posts in your thread?

Of course, as a large online retailer, Reuter has a database of installers – Ikea also offers you a carpenter for furniture assembly – but you have to pay them dearly. In the end, it doesn't matter through which link you find your installer: connected via Reuter or through the Yellow Pages. I would always choose the one with good neighbor references.

Just my 2 Cents:
- If you are lucky, the plumber comes along to the bathroom exhibition. Then you immediately have the right prices with the right discount
- Otherwise, the bathroom exhibition was rather painful for us too...
- I would commission the plumbing company with a basic all-in-one package (so all ceramics, all fittings...). With the architect house, you just get three quotes...
- Furniture (base cabinet) can be bought later in the furniture store and assembled yourself, no rocket science (with the architect house, it should be easy to arrange a plank behind the drywall, talk to the drywall installer).
