Hello everyone,

I currently have an end-terrace house in sight that I would like to buy.

Unfortunately, the house does not have network sockets installed. However, I would like to add them. I am not familiar with the topic.

The house was built in 2002, in my opinion, it would not make sense to completely rewire all the electrical lines.

Is there another way to install the network sockets? Along a cable duct? Has any of you ever done something like this? If yes, does anyone possibly have pictures?

Thank you very much for your help

Regards

If you are not familiar, then at least let someone from your circle of friends who has already gained experience in the area handle it... it's not exactly rocket science, but there are many things to consider because you certainly want to have a functioning network afterwards, right?

Otherwise, it means buying installation cables and sockets and possibly cable ducts...

Then also: network cabinet, patch panel, patch cables, router, switch

Sorry, I guess I was a bit unclear. I know about networking. The only question is how do I manage that without knocking down the plaster. ^^

Without damaging the plaster and without the empty conduit being empty? With cable ducts (or plastic pipes that you used for this) or surface-mounted and painted in the wall color or behind the baseboard or in the suspended ceiling or through a hole in the ceiling above the attic.

There are countless possibilities; which one fits and appeals to you aesthetically depends on the spatial conditions and your requirements for the appearance.

Flush-mounted installation will hardly work, unless empty conduits have already been laid somewhere. Surface-mounted installation, as is common in commercial areas, you will hardly want to run a cable duct throughout the entire house. Individual cables can possibly still be routed behind baseboards or in special baseboard channels. Whether that is sufficient for the house wiring depends on the house.

Remaining options are WLAN or PowerLAN/Powerline.

I would prefer to use a version without WLAN and Powerline.

What exactly does [Unterputz] mean? Does it mean I apply plaster along the cables I newly install?

Does anyone possibly have pictures of these options? Then I can see if it would be visually acceptable for me :)

Thanks and regards
