Can we still start construction in September?
Yes, definitely. And still look forward to your house!
We don’t really know the neighbors, just briefly introduced ourselves, they know why we are building and that we are really not doing it because we feel like it, have too much money, and enjoy it.
And from now on, you will have fun and enjoy the house building. Largely ignore the worries and think of your family. It would be even worse if you had to justify that you want to build or have bought the plot.
He will never leave us alone.
Often that’s the case, yes. Don’t let it get you down and always smile!!! Maybe directly addressing his objection will help. Perhaps he’ll become subdued because of it. However, if he’s apparently already known to the authorities, then he’s a troublemaker: but they don’t automatically get their way, rather the opposite.
Are conversations with conflict mediators/arbitrators useful?
Not in cases like these. Don’t make yourself vulnerable. Invite him to the topping out ceremony, be friendly over the garden fence. Once you’ve moved in and he’s still whining, then I would give him a proper dressing down, ask what his actual problem is.
We have already been through a lot, the care in our current apartment is simply a nightmare (living on a slope, have stairs in the house, in front of the house, everything too small, no care bed possible, etc.)
I’m sorry to hear that. Chin up – look forward to the improvements. Give it a try. Focus on yourselves.
The change has been submitted to the building authority (but was originally approved that way). Then he is afraid that we will drain our rainwater onto his property. Such nonsense, everything is properly planned and will be executed as such. I forgot the third point, but it was really far-fetched.
It’s all ridiculous nonsense...
