I can understand that well, a multi-family house is also absolutely not for me. I am way too sensitive to noise for that. Since the school noise is very limited in time and it is a primary school (the children are still cute there), it doesn’t bother me. I wouldn’t have to deal with it all day, but I know exactly to the minute when it’s quiet. Before I worked from home, I only noticed it when I was sick or on vacation outside of the holiday periods. My parents live very rurally, and there is constantly noise from chainsaws, lawn mower tractors, “real” tractors... sometimes it’s even louder in the garden than here. In any case, it’s worth its weight in gold when you have found a home with the right level of quiet.

Wtf? I'm really curious about my neighbors now, even though I already know them and they all seem relaxed. With a neighbor like yours there would be murder and manslaughter :o

The point here is that it gets quiet in the evening (except for the two days when agriculture also works at night). During the day, you usually have work yourself and make noise. In the city, you have a lot of noise even in the evening and at night.

Although here in the countryside it is not as quiet as it used to be. In times of agricultural contract workers who carry out many tasks on order, silage is made, corn and grain are harvested, ... until 3 a.m., if the weather and the contract require/allow it. But the good thing is that the mostly new monster machines are not as loud as the old ones. Here with us, that's now certainly 30 nights or more per year. In the past, there were many more farmers with their own machines who all went out at the same time, it was louder but then it was correct with 2-5 nights. Today, often a contract worker works through all fields one after the other with few machines - that takes time. Many newcomers don’t realize that.

Here it still seems to be the farmers themselves. Although you only have a limited number of fields in the immediate vicinity. And when someone is harvesting on the hill opposite, you can hear it. But it is not loud. And much less disturbing than any parties, drunk people on the way home, relationship dramas,...

Agreement has been reached. We are sticking to 180cm, with a maximum of 2 rows of plastic bands (he wanted it completely sealed). In return, we will take care of plants as a privacy screen... But the "doer" had to remove all the posts again because he didn't cement them properly and the distances didn't fit...

He is also planning a garden shed. However, if I look at the boundary construction, that garden shed triggers setback distances and must be legally placed at least 3m (?) from the property line since he is already reaching 15m boundary construction, right? I have roughly sketched it, proportions are not correct.

Basically, the shed doesn't bother me as it's neither near a window nor visible from the terrace. I'm considering making a deal with him: his garden shed doesn't bother me, and in return, his climbing frame with tower, which I place directly on the boundary, doesn't bother him. Or would I have any disadvantages from this?
