You cannot prevent data collection. Even if you withdraw cash at the counter, pay everything in cash, do not use customer cards, no SMS, no Internet, no email

If friends post photos online showing you, the next one allows access to their phone contacts, another lets Google remind them of your birthday and orders a gift for you on Amazon.

Not to demonize anything, but one should consider what they reveal about themselves and others. There is a lack of awareness.

Whether the devices really record bedroom conversations now, I have my doubts. You can access the data more easily through the already existing possibilities.

I agree. Cars just don't make good Sauerbraten.

There are people who say that TV commercials contain frequencies that are inaudible to humans but picked up by home electronics. Smartphone, Alexa, whatever. The devices are online and can thus create a database of which ads were consumed by whom.
There are even apps that openly do this and offer the user a rebate in return.

Of course, all of this sounds quite conspiratorial and I don't want to adopt it as my own belief. But the possibility is there, and even Karsten has an iPad in the living room and a smartphone in his pocket, even though he sometimes openly styles himself as a dinosaur.

Series recommendation: Black Mirror

It is winter. I come home. No draft. Zero wind. Cold over the land. The snow crunches. What beautiful air! What clear air! Breathe. Take a photo. I tell myself. A beautiful moment. Karsten

And once again through the back door.
You could actually just wall up the front.

It's like the good parlor, front door only for guests. It's similar with us.

Jim Morrison. Let me be your backdoor man. But I think that was meant differently.[emoji56]
