So come on. I think the matter with the lounge/rest room is now settled. . . And now you come up with a "basement room" By the way, this does not exist in building regulations either.

I don’t know if you read my question properly (it’s even in the title), but that’s exactly what it’s about. My original plan was to use (or have used) this room as a children’s room. Which, as we have clarified, is not allowed. Then I thought I’d rather make it a basement that I or the tenant could use. (So it was basically no longer inside the granny flat.) But now in hindsight I regret it and would rather have this room in the granny flat as, for example, a hobby room or study. My question now is whether I can simply do that without getting approval again, since it was previously declared as a basement room and now I want to move the door and create a "living space" in the form of a study/hobby room. So a 2-room granny flat would become a 3-room granny flat. According to the development plan that is allowed. That’s not the issue. I just want to save the whole process and not have to go through approval/inspection with the building authority again so that I can proceed with the construction. Would this "small change" also be allowed without approval?

I can tell you that with us the interior walls and thus also the doors do not correspond to our building application because we changed something after the application was submitted. And our employee at the building authority also said at the time that even windows could be changed. And: Who is supposed to notice, even if you would need an application for it.

Thanks for the confirmation. Actually, that's also my thought. Only since I have never built before, I don't know how it all works. Whether anyone ever checks if everything complies with the plan.

Many houses probably no longer correspond to the original. Often rooms are merged or partition walls are inserted. As far as I know, no permission is required for that. However, it must (theoretically) comply with existing regulations.

Changes to load-bearing or exit walls generally require approval (except for openings) - whenever the structural integrity is affected. Therefore, everything should proceed smoothly when sealing a door or creating a new door.
