The good thing is that you have now made a decision; it is your taste and you should feel comfortable.

I just keep wondering when questions about equipment details etc. are asked in forums. Then all kinds of "tastes" come to light.

It is like with women and men; there are the most different wishes and that is a good thing.
Just imagine if everyone had the same taste. Then millions of people would be sidelined.

Taste or preferences are the most personal thing about a person, and it is more than enough if two of them like each other and even agree...

No, not at all. They are two different wood colors, and if you also have wood in the furnishings, it would be too much mixing for me.

But of course, everyone is free to build however they like

Best regards, Yvonne

What I am still wondering is whether the [Buchentreppe] fits. Tiles are supposed to be installed in the hallway. And the hallway is also separated from the living room (oak flooring) by a door (presumably with glass). And which type of flooring should be used upstairs. However, the staircase in oak costs an additional €2000.

I would also be interested. We were offered the same with a beech staircase and a spruce ceiling. If there are pictures of it, please post them. I still can't imagine it. I also think we will have to accept an extra charge, otherwise it will be too much of a mix... What kind of doors do you have?

That's what I mean! For this reason (wooden staircase), many already choose tiles or at least the same flooring throughout the entire ground floor so that the overall floor gives a sense of calm, a foundation for coziness. But everyone has different "thresholds" here... and a different interpretation of aesthetics. According to psychological impressions developed in the last century, too many different materials are definitely discouraged.
