What exactly do you mean by that? When would you dismiss it? If it is done the way I described?

I don't know yet how thick the ceiling will be. We have another appointment scheduled. The finished room height will be 2.45m, so not particularly high.

Down to the bottom edge of the beams, I guess. We have 243cm and then another 12cm from the beams. This still makes it feel sufficiently high.

Yes, up to the bottom edge. However, it will not be a beam ceiling where the beams are deeper than the rest of the ceiling.

What then? Like the classic with formwork boards? That would really feel oppressive given the room height.

So far, a ceiling made of plug wood is planned, which will then be clad. Now the carpenter came up with the idea that a solid glued laminated timber ceiling could be made. The other possibility would be a wooden beam ceiling, which would also be clad.

With a room height of 2.45m, I really can't imagine a wooden ceiling, it feels very oppressive, even with a white ceiling the 2.45m wouldn't be high enough for me. A spruce ceiling is definitely country house style, so you should like that.
