Hello everyone,
we are planning a facade with plaster and offset areas in [Klinker-(Optik)] for our single-family house. Normally, with a [Klinker] facade, this is placed as a second shell in front of the "normal" masonry. We are just wondering how this would work with such a mixed facade. The [Klinker] would then protrude far from the plaster. Is this then solved with such [klinkerriemchen]? I somehow can't imagine it...

maybe one of you can help me.

We are getting the entire ground floor clad with facing brick, and the upper floor will receive an ETICS. In this case, it is indeed so that the facing brick protrudes significantly further, and an appropriate separation between the ETICS and the facing brick is necessary.

A few hundred meters away, by chance, a multi-family house is being built that has brick slips glued onto the ETICS. I do not see any visual difference between brick slips and a real brick facade.

Hello and thank you for the reply. However, we want to either cover the areas continuously from the ground floor to the upper floor with either brick slips or plaster. In that case, it would probably only be possible with these brick slips, right? I just hope it looks neat, definitely not cheap... We don't want full brickwork, it wouldn't suit our house. It should be white plaster with anthracite-colored brick slips and stainless steel details...

Should be doable with thin bricks. As I said, for the apartment building I see no difference to "real" clinker bricks.

Which question I am still asking myself... Who then processes these? Does the cleaner do that?

I see the difference...! Unfortunately, I am looking at a house with facing bricks.
