Mowing the lawn, hardly worth mentioning on today’s tiny plots. That bit of garden maintenance is a piece of cake for anyone. What other work is there? Cleaning the grill? Wiping down the garden furniture? Maybe applying some Carboline to a palisade?

Regarding T and C. T and C is a franchise. The executing companies are local BUs, it depends on that. The basic standard from T and C is quite low budget. In my opinion, the wall construction is not okay. It should be at least 30 cm Ytong and not 24.5 cm.

Yes, one of the affordable ones. Back then, it was also among my choices alongside Heinz von Heiden (which is what it ended up being). Only on the Heinz von Heiden site you don’t see any prices. But of course, they also have houses under 100m2 in their portfolio.

You get what you pay for! Lower Saxony is a construction site... the minimum size for the plot is often 650sqm. ... the quote is being arbitrarily cut off again... whatever... I can already understand the way of thinking. My neighbor built alone. Here some have built alone or live alone in the house. But no one here has less than 100sqm alone ;) So, my neighbor has a gardener friend, the other from the side street has a garden, which is so unkempt... the neighbor a few houses down is totally picky (that's why no woman stays). I myself also had a house alone... quite a lot was neglected. But I guess you have to experience that yourself. However, it is painful not to be able to sell the house because it is simply too small. Under 90/100sqm you could already call that a waste of resources, but I don't want to judge, because I also waste a lot: I personally would also build my own home of 120sqm for 1-2 people. But a family should be able to accommodate a house. Since a partner can also join, I would do the nest planning together - it's much more fun than alone :)

Why no condominium?

I just have to ask: was that irony? - I mostly read here ... as a reason why people so often "warn" about them here. Although I rather get the impression of a "Fielmann for houses" from them and essentially only find the "warning" about the "promenade mix" among local partners to be justified (and personally, I would rather avoid Gabriele's favorite Heinz), one can probably sum up the business model common to all discounters shortly as trying to make a profit on the Pronto Salvatore juggling with the terms "construction by owner" and "turnkey." How many bags you have to put the gathered Pappenheimers in is probably the oldest philosophical dispute of all construction forums, even before the diss battle "Buddha Stone against Crumble Cookie" (with the classic laughing third party result: "Advantage aerated concrete"). And thus back - not to Hürth-Kalscheuren, but to the OP’s question: Yes, it is not only possible but quite certain that to the question "I have three hundred thousand, will you build me a house for that?" a dozen providers will say "sure, sign here" and then you just have to read carefully which one only offers exclusive wallpaper and which one also includes the floor slab.

I currently live very, very cheaply in a cooperative. €485 for 75 sqm with a balcony. Sure, the standard here is simple, but investments are made and (so far) there are no rent increases for old tenants. Just recently got a new roof and LED lights with motion sensors in the stairwell. Condominiums here are usually only available in the city area and already cost €200-300K for similarly old buildings. Mostly with a lot of renovation backlog. For new buildings, prices start at €320K, but then they are proper single apartments around 50 sqm. I have cats and grew up very rurally. I am not at home in the city, it was nice for studies and the younger years but not anymore. A condominium does not offer me more freedom personally.
