Well… and now? What to do? I am struggling with the insulation thickness of the usual material for the basement ceiling…

When it comes to insulation thickness, then vacuum insulation panels. They cost more and are more difficult to process. The advantage is, of course, that you probably only need about 2 cm. Phew, just looked in a report from 2019, the price is about €225 per square meter... That is of course not a real alternative....

Insulation materials with even lower WLG (023 or something?)

As always, when low insulation thicknesses and easy processing (gluing) are desired, PUR with aluminum facing is a good choice.

I have already made a recommendation. You can try with a small bucket. They might sell you two or three liters as a sample to convince the forum here. That is enough for 6-10m². As I said, I once "dried off" the roll on a wall after application, and even then the effect was noticeable. No heat passes through at all.

You still haven't explained why PScoat markets the same product with different thermal conductivities?

Mistakes happen everywhere. This can be found in the scientific documents. Everyone is free to replicate the experimental setup. I posted it here. #35. Your disbelief doesn't change the fact that it works. But you probably also believe that airplanes don't actually fly because that was physically impossible 100 years ago.
