Looking for floor plan suggestions for a semi-detached house

Did I miss something? Why don't you base yourself on common semi-detached houses and plan the staircase on the interior wall? For some reason, there is this standard (which is probably well known to everyone through RH), it will at least work. You can always individualize later ?!

We want to make the entrance on the side, that would cause too much hallway.

The only solution that would make sense is something like this:

There are even more sensible designs for semi-detached houses with a side entrance

Have not found any yet where the living room and kitchen are not separated

Sorry, I quickly found quite a few things earlier... I'll get you some links and also post a quick sketch when I'm properly online again. I had already written something earlier, but it apparently wasn't saved. Take stock for yourself again of what is absolutely necessary and what would be nice to have, and post that. And please show the site plan. I assume the specifications are 11 x 7.5?
