Forest laws are state laws, the lower landscape protection is managed, as far as I know, in all federal states by the districts, and tree protection (outside of forests) by the municipalities. I have not yet researched how few trees per hectare still do not constitute a forest and may stand behind garden fences. For me personally, that would rather be Hoëcker knowledge ;-)
There are properties that have no trees and are still forest properties. The reason is quite simple. A forest also has a clearing :cool:
