Looks great!!! I like it very much!
(just the "deco" behind is a bit too yellow for me)

The glass sliding door looks really great!!

If you are very neat and meticulous, then an open kitchen is certainly no problem. If you tend to have a bit of a "mess" and maybe don’t tidy it up immediately, but only after a little "break," then you’ll also have it in view while eating.

Although I also quite like the idea of having a living room as a retreat. And then just combining the kitchen with the dining room.

We also have an L-shape like that. So you can’t see into the kitchen from the living room either. We also planned a breakthrough between the kitchen and dining/living room where a sliding door is supposed to go.

How big are your dining room and kitchen? Because you often only have space for 12 people in normal houses with a bit of "rearranging."

We also have an L. Everything is open, although it would be possible to separate [Essen] and [Wohnen] if desired one day. Then the living room would be separate. From the hallway, there is a door to both the kitchen and the living room.

If I want, open; if not, the kitchen is separated.

Our compromise: 1.50 m breakthrough between the kitchen and dining room and a glass sliding door with frosted glass and print, which still lets light through when closed but does not allow a clear view. When it is open, it is a decorative element in the dining room, as it slides against the wall. We are both satisfied with this, and even (critical) guests find the solution good. Our architect designed the whole thing.

When I read your opinions, I waver again, open kitchen or with a sliding glass door. Actually, a completely open living space feels too large for me, roughly 55-60 sqm in total. Recently, during a site visit, I saw a room separation through a fireplace, which I also found very nice; it somewhat divided the room.
