Liebherr ICBN 3366 - No Frost is no longer working. Who knows this problem?

Please contact Miele customer service - they sell (at least partially) the exact same devices.

(Of course, first search at Miele for a very similar model.)

Indeed. Applies to Miele just the same. Customer service is rather so-so but the bills are hefty. And because they have premium quality, there’s only a 2-year warranty. What a rip-off.

I have NoFrost in my fridge. The water runs down the back wall, over a small channel into a little hole. Below it is the evaporator, where the dripping water evaporates. If the channel or hole is clogged, the system no longer works. "Deactivating" it is, in my opinion, not possible.

Is the door perhaps leaking? NoFrost is not a cure-all. If the door is open often, or the seal is leaky, warm air flows in, moisture freezes ... NoFrost can’t handle that anymore.

Repairs on such items are done by dealers. Maybe something like EP (Electronic Partner). Euronics

We first defrosted the device for a good 2 days during a short vacation and so far we have not been able to detect any new ice formation. The principle in the freezer compartment is somewhat different from the refrigerator, as no water can run down anywhere at -18°C :)

I am also very skeptical about that. They demand outrageous prices and are not even convinced enough of their products to offer longer warranties. And since you cannot look inside the devices, manufacturers can always use cheaper parts everywhere. Whereas in the past "premium" capacitors and co were soldered on, today they use cheap junk from the deepest China. Saving 1 cent per 2000€ machine and guaranteeing a lifespan of about 2.5 years instead of 20 years as before (barely after the warranty period). And then the 5 cent part has to be replaced, which of course is on a 500€ circuit board and you need an electrician for that who also charges another 200€.
And then companies wonder why everyone keeps buying cheap stuff. A 400€ washing machine is nonsense to me if something stops working. Off to MM and order a new one for 400€. Two days later the new one arrives, the old one goes away immediately. The new machine is also brand new and clean, up to date, etc... The 2000€ machine is never 5 times as good or lasts 5 times as long...
