Lay the floor before plastering / Cover properly

Thank you for your answers. What is your opinion on this milk carton paper, or what would you recommend for protection?

I haven't seen that in practice yet. I would use painter's fleece. You can get it cheaper at the big river.

My concern would rather be that the moisture from the plaster causes the floor to swell too much.

That's true, that can happen with laminate or wooden floors. In that case, you really have to recommend vinyl. But then make sure it is solid (or mass) vinyl. So it doesn't have a carrier board made of cork or HDF. Terrible stuff, but it is waterproof.

The floor is laid relatively quickly.

I would clean first and then do the floor
