Hey thanks for your answers. The offer mentions something about hand putty. This loss of time just annoys me.

The milk carton paper is basically okay, but don't buy it too cheaply. It tends to tear if you catch it with the ladder or scaffolding. The advantage compared to fleece is that you can sweep. I think most craftsmen prefer to work on screed because you can move better, as things can always fall down or the ladder can leave marks on overly soft ground. But you can still work on the finished surface. However, please install the baseboards later and talk to the executing craftsman beforehand.
