Whereas the built-in car radios from the well-known switch and socket manufacturers are not cheap in terms of price but are rather to be classified in the lower segment in terms of quality.

The usual portable BT boxes with radio are significantly more sonorous.

My mother had a flush-mounted switch installed for a radio, and the radio is on top of the kitchen cabinet. I really can't recommend that. She constantly gets upset that the radio is too quiet or too loud, or on the wrong station. And she always needs a ladder to change it. Maybe less of a serious tip on the subject and more of a little anecdote, but: Don't do that. :P

This is also going into the utility room. Luckily, I have an electrician at hand who has already thought a lot about these things and also pointed out one or two things to me. For example, an access point in the garden – I would never have thought of that (at the latest now because of your hint). Thanks again for that.

For this reason, we decided on built-in boxes with a network amplifier.
The portable variant is, of course, also possible.
However, I think that if you have the option to install the boxes, then you should do it.

I currently have that in my apartment too, but honestly, I hardly ever use the thing. The main playback source is my phone/Spotify or radio – connected via the soundbar, for example. I think I will also use Sonos etc. in the future. But friends of mine use these built-in radios like "hulle"

Shading control is carried out via weather station.
I really struggle with decorative lighting. Window reveals are actually good - but somehow also out of fashion again.
I have planned floor sockets at 2 prominent places where decoration is possible/or a Christmas tree.
