In principle, I am open to everything! I am not a planner, but what he made out of this room I don't find particularly well done...

No idea if you can plan an island here? I am aware that such a narrow shape is a big hurdle. I would find it better if there was more space in the middle, it then feels much more "open" and bigger. Somehow I feel that it feels totally oppressive here.

Yes, I can provide measurements in a few days...

Exactly, I think so too. You can argue about the walking route. We removed the door because of the available space. We believe that the walking route is not a big problem.

But I also think that the kitchen is not a "feel-good oasis," which it definitely should be and which you could somehow expect based on the square meter number.

Omit the row under the window? But that's precisely the nice thing about it: view of the street, sink at the window, that's pretty much standard. Otherwise, I would have nothing in front of me in the kitchen? I really find it hard to imagine something nice in this room.

I think this gives a good impression of the kitchen size

Again, I think the perspective is deceptive. But of course, you can't make a loft kitchen out of the kitchen. The approach would be to reconsider the "light strip" on the left side. A narrow, long, tall window. It rather makes the room even deeper. You can swap the two windows. The light strip at the back and the large window on the left. Then I would arrange everything differently overall. The tall cabinets immediately on the right are nonsense, they overwhelm you as soon as you come in.

Island in the small narrow space with a small sliding door will not work. And more free space between the lines is impractical. Line spacing should be around 1.2m +/-. The dining areas in the kitchen complicate everything. For me, it will always look like an existing house.

I also think the light strip on the left is totally bad.

The cabinets completely overwhelm you, exactly! The question is whether I can get anything out of the floor plan because of this or whether the planner just enlarged the whole house by a meter. Of course, that is also a question of price.
