Small tip if there are no power outlets nearby: at Ikea, a 180cm ESG glass panel in black or white costs only about 20 euros and place it behind only at critical points, as driver55 says.

In my mother's rental apartment, we only applied a self-adhesive "film" for cost reasons and because the tiles were not allowed to be removed. Actually, it is cut-to-size, slightly thinner PVC, which you know from the large rolls for floors at the hardware store.

For the purpose and for the, I think, around 90 euros, it's quite okay and was simply easy to work with. But in property ownership, I would wish for something a bit more.
