[Nonsense that company cars are simply abolished at the expense of everyone.]
Nonsense and a gift to the car lobby is certainly the halved taxation of plug-in hybrids, which then are driven only with fuel anyway. My company car drives 30,000 km per year; with the value-added tax on the car and maintenance, all the levies on fuels, motor vehicle tax, insurance tax, broadcasting fees, etc., quite a lot of revenue is generated for the state and country, without the car emitting soot into the environment like an EU6 diesel like a container ship. The levies are so high that I consider them appropriate and fair for the polluter. It would be more ecological, for example, if the state had better advanced broadband expansion to allow video conferencing up to the often-cited "milk can" [distance]. I know some salespeople who drive 95,000 km p.a.; if that could be halved through adequate network expansion, one would probably achieve more for the environment. Households and industry seem to be clearly the bigger climate sinners than car traffic anyway, which of course does not mean that action cannot continue there as well.
But that is less the topic of this thread ;)
