There should be light from above. How do you shade the windows?
The ones above have electric shutters (if necessary), all around with roof overhang, 2 west-facing windows are structurally unshaded.

Oh you have to be careful. In the heat the other day, the children's room with a small west-facing window heated up insanely in two hours.

Thank you for your “concern,” here is the west side with three windows to our living room - the small one in the foreground is above the toilet, which is not in the living room (you can also overdo it with radicalness...)

What, that’s not in the living room?
You probably like the heat more than my little daughter and me. The Swede in our family tree just comes through with us.
It was 4 degrees in less than 2 hours and that in the evening after 6 pm.
I found that pretty intense and it provided a guest in the bedroom.
