Is interior plastering possible only with a footpath to the house?

Hello everyone,

we are building in the second row, actually there is a 3m wide construction road leading to our house (which will later be a private road providing access to the property). We wanted to start the interior plastering at the end of October. Now, for the house construction in the first row, the basement was excavated and surprisingly the construction road was narrowed to 1.4m. Until the basement is backfilled, which will probably take at least until the end of November. Therefore, the question would be whether or what possibilities exist for the plasterer to still work with us. The path is 20 meters long and there would be space for the silo at the front house. We have an appointment at the end of the week with our architect and the planned plasterer and it would be great to have an idea beforehand whether or what could be possible.

Thank you all!

Who allowed your street to be dug up?

And I don't think it will be a problem, the pumps will handle it easily.

Happy neighborhood... I would have someone come over, clear my driveway, and send them a bill for it. Outrageous. Hmm seriously, that probably wouldn't be a good start to a neighborhood relationship, although I really find it audacious to do something like that. I would probably have talked to the construction workers there first to have them quickly dump it somewhere else... really, what are people thinking.

Thanks already for your feedback! The neighbor and we are both building with the same architect and open contracting. It was clear from the beginning that there would be dependencies. That’s also why the same architect, who is supposed to coordinate both construction sites precisely because of these dependencies. Unfortunately, that only works sometimes... We were informed that the hole for the front house would be very large, but not that half of our street would temporarily be lost. Well, when we came one day, it was gone... That happened within 2 days. The damage is done now anyway, as long as we can continue working, we don’t want to cause any stress, but good planning apparently looks different :-(

Annoying, but of course you can't prevent the neighbor from digging his construction pit. Is there already something on the other side of the construction road so that no passage is possible at all?
