I also just thought of something regarding Ivar/banana crates: I also have two "blocks," each with three drawers. I use one block at the bottom as office storage and have one in the wardrobe. I wouldn't buy those things again. They are heavy as hell, the drawers are quite small, and the wood tends to warp so that they sometimes squeak against each other in summer. I still have the curtain in front of them and would prefer to switch back to banana crates at any time. But what do I do then with those heavy things? If you don’t want them just for the look, you can save 2/3 of the purchase price by sticking to shelves right away. Also, I’m currently happy that such a banal topic as "Ivar as a wardrobe" brings back so many memories for so many people that the thread is already 6 pages long. Some have planned and discussed their entire floor plan on 4 pages. :D
