Fortunately, the forum here is not representative; by now, 6000 euros net is too little to build.
Well, because in the end it probably comes down to the same thing. I don't expect that my parents or my husband's parents will ever want that money back....
And I know this situation from several friends who have built something in a somehow similar way.
And also the observation that there are very different categories - with a taxable income of 100,000€, you still don't buy in the region of 19,000€/m².
In Stuttgart, prices are around 500€/m², with a strong upward trend. At about 30 km distance to the city center. These are already villages connected to the public transport network by bus. (Bus + S-Bahn about 60 min to the city center). It only gets cheaper if you go even further away and leave the public transport network. But then you can only get somewhere by car.But a lot is changing right now. The question is, how important is it to have a house so close to the city in the next decades? Isn't it also okay to live 50 km outside if you only have to commute to the office 1-2 times a week?
So again the poor parents. Instead of giving them something back, they are further squeezed. In my circle of friends, no one would ever do something like that, because you are an adult and stand on your own feet. It also has something to do with a sense of honor for us not to accept money for luxury goods from our parents, but rather to treat them...
