Is a second shower bath sensible?

Electricity? It will be routed to the attic. For the other rooms. In the past, they simply nailed a junction box. The men here know the easiest way. But electricity is, as far as I know, the simplest.

We currently only have one bathroom and one guest toilet and would never plan it that way again, or in our new build there will definitely be an additional children's bathroom. With small children, one bathroom is not a problem but not when they get older. There is constantly knocking on the door, both children naturally want to use the bathroom at the same time, no one wants to get up earlier, there is complaining about unauthorized use of each other's toothpaste, shower gel, etc.... that's just how it is with children going through puberty. Earlier, we couldn't have imagined it being so stressful with small children either, but now we are very much looking forward to the additional bathroom.

Best regards Sabine

In the past, the four of us only had one large bathroom - of course it worked, we somehow managed and didn’t know it any other way.
In our new building, however, we planned a second shower in the guest toilet on the ground floor from the very beginning, and what can I say, even though there are currently only two of us, we wouldn’t want to do without it anymore.

Hello,
we decided against installing a shower in the guest WC (this way it is always tidy there and easier to keep everything clean) and instead installed a second bathroom with a shower on the upper floor. At first, we did not want to finish this one either. In the end, it was completed during the work except for the shower enclosure. We deliberately did not install the shower enclosure of the walk-in shower so that we can possibly place a changing table in this spot for the first few years.
Unfortunately, everything costs money.

I agree with the following opinion:
- Now either expand properly or not at all.
- Normal households (up to four people) can also manage with one bathroom.

Who actually cleans the second and third bathroom?

Thank you all!

The guest WC will probably be the toilet that is used the most. We mostly stay downstairs. If a shower is installed there, it will certainly feel very cramped. There are great ideas with sliding glass doors to the side, but I think the cost of such measures is just as high as another shower bath in the attic.

The cleaning will probably then be done by the person who also cleans the rest, as Sebastian correctly pointed out.
